Founded by the Association for the Welfare of the Handicapped (AWH) in 1996, AWH Special College in Kerala specializes in Physiotherapy, Genetics, and Audiology and Speech Language Pathology. It uniquely offers a B.Sc in Genetics Honours. Programs include BPT, BASLP, B.Sc Computer Science Honours, B.Sc Geology Honours, MPT, M.Sc SLP, and MSW, all providing excellent career prospects. The college is recognized by the Government of Kerala and affiliated with the University of Calicut and the Kerala University of Health Sciences, with BASLP and M.Sc programs also recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). New programs are planned with public support.
