Master of Physiotherapy (MPT)

It is a two-year full time post graduate program in physiotherapy. The masters program offered by the department is affiliated to the University of Calicut. The post graduate program is mainly conducted with the intention of developing human resources, to assume the leadership role in physiotherapy with enhanced patient care. It also formulates educational programmes and undertakes research.

Programme Structure

The first two semesters of the course are designed to revise clinical and physiotherapy subjects. Students will be exposed to new areas like research, methodology and statistics. The IIIrd and IVth semesters contain the learning and the practice of the advanced and specialized areas in physiotherapy. The elective specialties, which can be chosen, are;

Hospital settings, outpatient clinics, community set ups, sports centres, rehabilitation schools and academic institutions are a few of the countless professional development areas in Physiotherapy. Regular seminars on recent advances in Physiotherapy, workshops with the hands-on training and community based on Physiotherapy camps facilitate updating the functional efficiency and skill. Eligibility

The candidates should pass BPT Degree from KUHS or from other Universities recognized equivalent there to by KUHS with minimum 50 % marks in aggregate. Usual relaxation of marks shall be permitted for SC/ST/SEBC candidates as per Government guidelines

How to Apply

Online application for the course has already started. Application fee is Rs. 600/- Candidates whose applications are found acceptable shall be called for an interview. The following documents shall be brought at the time of interview.
